Holdridge Modern Tudor Girls Bath + 3 Bedrooms

It’s time for the girls bath + bedroom reveal from the Holdridge Modern Tudor project! Remodels involve a lot of people working together and this project was a great testament to that. Magney Architecture figured out a functional and perfect layout for this family of 5. Lecy Bros Homes & Remodeling did an amazing job with construction. Chelsie Lopez captured the space beautifully.

These rooms were such sweet spaces to design. In this family, there are three girls and they all got new-to-them rooms along with a remodeled bath to share. It was so fun to design spaces that were unique to their personalities and likes, while also ensuring they reflected the design style in the rest of this home and bathroom they share.

Mood Board

For the girls bath inspiration, the plan was to soften the bathroom look with a creamy vanity that had subtle pink undertones. Gold plumbing fixtures would create a feminine feel. In the bedrooms, we wanted to bring in the Tudor style that is seen throughout this home, while giving each girl their own style.

Renderings

The design changed slightly from when these renderings were created, but they provided us with a visual to see how the materials and textures would play out in the space.

Girls Bath

How sweet is this space?! It turned out beautifully and has the perfect soft and feminine feel we were going for.

In the vanity design, each girl has their own set of drawers with 2 sinks to be shared. We made sure to add plenty of storage, since this space will soon be filled with lots of makeup, hair ties, straighteners, and curling irons. With a long vanity, we were also able to maximize on the countertop space in addition to having 2 sinks.

The Delta Cassidy faucet is from the same collection we used in the basement bathroom remodel, but in a single lever handle for easy on and off in the kids bathroom.

The custom vanity is painted Eider White by Sherwin Williams and is accented by gold knobs on the doors and drawers.

Using a champagne bronze finish adds that softer feel and pairs perfectly with the gold mirror and light fixtures. The curved lines of the plumbing fixtures and lighting is contrasted by the clean lines of the mirror.

By using a quartz material on the countertops, they not only look beautiful, but are easy to clean and maintain.

A pattern floor tile plays well with the square tile on the shower walls.

The stacked layout of the shower tile brings a more modern look, while the variation to the color also gives it a handmade feel that leans into the Tudor style. A light penny tile is used on the shower floor.

The little details make the biggest impact. One of my favorite ways to tie together a bathroom look is to ensure the toilet lever matches the rest of the plumbing collection and finish. In this space, the little bit of gold on the trip lever is the perfect finishing touch.

Three robe hooks are lined up next to the shower and are an easy way to access the towels after getting out of the shower.

Girls Bedrooms

Before designing out the bedrooms for the girls in this family, I got to sit down with them to hear what they wanted when it came to the look of their spaces. It was so fun to hear their creativity and preferences when it came to patterns, colors, and textures. We looked through rooms on Pinterest to get ideas on what they liked and disliked. The final design included three rooms that felt cohesive, yet leaned into each girl’s personality.

Modern Eclectic Bedroom

In the first bedroom, the style is a bit more eclectic with some darker colors in the comforter and fun graphic artwork. We kept more permanent selections in the room classic like the color for the walls – Repose Gray – and a traditional looking semi-flush light fixture.

The metal bed leans into that modern Tudor style with the clean lines, but traditional shape.

This ribbed table lamp adds a fun texture and design to the wood nightstand.

In each bedroom, we brought in some accent pillows to create a cozy and full look to the beds.

Soft Pink Bedroom

The next bedroom to reveal is this soft pink space. In this room, we had a lighter approach with pale pink colors and gold accents. The scalloped flush mount light is one of my favorites! It adds a pretty feminine feel to the room.

A white bed frame is a classic touch and is contrasted by a dark gray nightstand. A beaded table lamp adds an option for softer lighting while reading or hanging out in this space.

Gold framed artwork has an organic feel that ties into the pink comforter.

An upholstered barrel chair provides a spot to sit. I love how the shape plays off the curves in the artwork above the bed. We added a round gold mirror above the chair.

Floral Toddler Bedroom

The final bedroom in this girls bath + bedroom reveal is this floral toddler room. As the youngest daughter in the family transitioned out of the crib, she moved into this new gray trundle bed in her new room. A trundle bed is the perfect solution for a space where there will be lots of future sleepovers and hang outs for years to come. A gold semi-flush mount adds illumination to the space.

We added a black and white floral wallpaper as an accent in the space and I love it! The playful pattern has the perfect amount of youthfulness, but can also grow with the client’s daughter.
