The nursery is ready for our sweet Willababy and we can’t wait to meet him or her in February!
Mood Board
The goal was to create a gender neutral space for the nursery that also worked with the rest of our home. A few posts ago, I shared the mood board for the space, along with our gender neutral registry. You’ll see leather, wicker, and wood elements throughout.
Before
This room was previously our guest room and we loved the Muted Sage paint color! Thankfully, we didn’t need to do much to this room other than move the furniture to the new bedroom downstairs, swap out the light fixture, and set up the nursery.

And here’s what the room looks like now! We changed out the light fixture from the one above to this rattan pendant light and absolutely love it! It provides a cozy glow to the room that will be perfect for baby.
One of the items on my nursery wishlist was this leather rocking chair and I am so glad we went for it! It is really comfy and will work well in our home whenever a nursery is no longer needed. I added a poof so that I can put my feet up too! The wood convertible crib complements the leather beautifully and I love the arches on the sides.
Above the crib, we hung a hand drawn tapestry map and added shelves in the corner to house books for bedtime reading.

On the other side of the nursery, there is a dresser that we got from one of Matt’s coworkers. The changing basket is from Amazon and the quality is really great.
We hung hats from a leather and gold hook system that I found at a local seasonal shop. Below the hooks, a storage unit provides a spot for toys and additional books.
We are so happy with how the nursery turned out and can’t wait to spend many days and nights rocking our sweet babe in here!
