Contemporary Porch Addition

This contemporary porch is complete just in time for summer! 810 Builders did an amazing job on this project. The clients are already enjoying many nights out in their new space, which makes me so happy. Let’s check out the design details and transformation.

Before

Previously, the area off the clients house was an uncovered deck. They wanted to utilize this space to the best of its potential by adding a covered three season room.

The Designs

Mood Board

For the design inspiration, the clients were drawn to a contemporary style to complement what they have in the rest of their home. The plan included to bring in darker elements, along with bolder colors through accents like the rug and pillows. Incorporating a fireplace was on the top of their wishlist for this space too.

Renderings

To ensure they loved the layout and materials they’d selected, renderings were create to provide a visual of the design. The plan was to add a fireplace in the corner of the porch to extend the use of this space well into the fall.

We planned to include sitting two areas – one for dining and one for lounging – that would both take advantage of the views and fireplace.

After

And now for the after! The porch turned out beautifully and looks exactly like the renderings! A 24 x 24 inch concrete looking tile was installed on fireplace, making it look like one large slab.

The walls were painted Iron Ore by Sherwin Williams to bring in a moody feel, which is contrasted by the cedar ceiling and deck floor.

The black windows frame the beautiful green trees, while the furniture provides the perfect place to enjoy the view.
