MOOD BOARD + SELECTIONS
Are you looking for more a refresh instead of a major remodel? A mood board and material selections with concept boards is a great place to start. There are so many decisions involved in any project that can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Having guidance through the process will save you time, stress, and money. Whether you’re looking for assistance with picking out materials such as plumbing, lighting, paint colors, and tile or furniture selections for your space, Willaby Way is here to help.
The first step in the process is setting up a video call where we’ll go over your project, the design process, and any questions you have. Following the call, I will send a detailed and project specific design proposal that outlines price, timeline, and deliverables. Once the proposal is submitted, we’ll get started! If you’re local to the Twin Cities of MN, we’ll schedule a site visit to get measurements and photos of the existing space. If we’re working virtually on your project, you’ll send measurements and existing photos of the space.
MOOD BOARD
The first step in the process will be a mood board showing the overall design ideas for your project. It is based on likes and dislikes we’ve talked through, inspiration images you’ve saved on Pinterest or Instagram, and finishes and colors that we are planning to incorporate throughout the design. The mood board is delivered as an image via email with descriptions as to what design elements you’ll see incorporated.
MATERIAL SELECTIONS
If you’ve ever gone through a remodel or even tried refreshing a space in your home, you know there are so many decisions to be made. The material selection sheet is where we simplify that process. I source two different options for the materials needed in your project, including plumbing, lighting, paint colors, tile, and more. This allows you to decided between two different looks, while not getting overwhelmed with all the options out there. Your selections are delivered via Google Docs so that you can comment your feedback and questions. The selection sheets include photos, notes, pricing, and links to the materials. They can be shared with your contractor for a comprehensive list of the design items for your project.
CONCEPT BOARDS
Along with the selection sheets, I will create two concept boards showing both of the options for each room. These concept boards will help you visualize how the materials look together before making any final decisions. The concept boards will be delivered as a PDF via email
