FULL SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN
Your investment in an interior design package from Willaby Way means you’ll receive a full service design experience. This includes a mood board, floor plan, material selections, concept boards, & renderings. After each deliverable, we’ll connect on a video call or via email before moving on to the next step. Once designs are complete, we’ll schedule a day to visit the showrooms and site visits to check in on construction.
The first step in the process is setting up a video call where we’ll go over your project, the design process, and any questions you have. Following the call, I will send a detailed and project specific design proposal that outlines price, timeline, and deliverables. Once the proposal is submitted, we’ll schedule a site visit to kick off your design project. During the site visit, we’ll get into more details regarding the project, I’ll get measurements, and take photos of the existing space. Then, it’s time to get into the fun part of the design. MOOD BOARD
After we’ve kicked off your project with a site visit, we’ll move into the inspiration phase. I create a mood board showing the overall design ideas for your project. It is based on likes and dislikes we’ve talked through, inspiration images you’ve saved on Pinterest or Instagram, and finishes and colors that we are planning to incorporate throughout the design. The mood board is delivered as an image via email with descriptions as to what design elements you’ll see incorporated.
FLOOR PLAN
The next step in the design process is the floor plan. By using LiDAR technology, I am able to get measurements of your current floor plan to create the as-built plans. I will then use those to design the proposed floor plan showing the new layout drawn to scale with measurements, location of electrical and plumbing, cabinet elevations, and notes. It will be delivered in a PDF via email, along with link to a video talking through the details and design.
MATERIAL SELECTIONS
If you’ve ever gone through a remodel or even tried refreshing a space in your home, you know there are so many decisions to be made. The material selection sheet is where we simplify that process. I source two different options for the materials needed in your project, including plumbing, lighting, paint colors, tile, and more. This allows you to decided between two different looks, while not getting overwhelmed with all the options out there. Your selections are delivered via Google Docs so that you can comment your feedback and questions. The selection sheets include photos, notes, pricing, and links to the materials. They can be shared with your contractor for a comprehensive list of the design items for your project.
CONCEPT BOARDS
Along with the selection sheets, I will create two concept boards showing both of the options for each room. These concept boards will help you visualize how the materials look together before making any final decisions. The concept boards will be delivered as a PDF via email
RENDERINGS
Once you’ve chosen the materials you love, I will create life-like renderings based on all your selections. The renderings will show the future interior of your home in photorealistic images. You will get to preview each space before construction begins to ensure you feel confident in each decision. Renderings will be delivered in a PDF presentation via email, along with a Google Drive link to all the images.
SHOWROOM MEETING + SITE VISITS
Next, we will schedule meetings to visit the showrooms. During these meetings, you’ll get to view and confirm the material selections in person. I will be present to help answer questions, provide direction, and communicate with the vendors.
Once construction begins, we will schedule site visits to check in at the job site. During these visits, I will meet with you, the builder, and subcontractors to help make decisions and answer questions.
