In this main level refresh with Stoltz Remodeling, we kept the layout the same but gave it a brand new look through painted cabinets, an updated fireplace design, reimagined bar, and new finishes.
Before
This beautiful home features wood millwork, cabinetry, and flooring which started to feel overwhelming in the space. While we didn’t want to remove all the wood and warmth from the space, the goal was to paint the kitchen cabinets to break it up and help the space feel brighter. Our other goal in the kitchen was a new one-level island painted a darker color for contrast.
On the other side of this main level, we planned to reimagine the bar by taking out the soffit and upper cabinets in place of shelving and a more modern look.
Also included in this main level refresh was an updated fireplace design that felt more timeless and simple.
After
The kitchen feels so much brighter! By painting the perimeter cabinets Incredible White by Sherwin Williams, it lightened up the entire space. The new island is painted Peppercorn giving a rich and timeless look to the space.
Black hardware, faucet, and light fixtures contrast the lighter cabinetry.
New polished quartz countertops bring in a feeling of freshness to this main level refresh, especially when continued up the backsplash as well.
Living Room + Bar
With an updated fireplace design, the living room looks brand new. The columns and built-ins were painted the same color as the kitchen cabinets. In the middle, floor to ceiling travertine tile accentuates he taller ceilings and provides a beautiful statement in the space.
Over by the bar, we kept the lower cabinets the same but replaced the fridge with an open glass look. Above, the uppers were removed and replaced by a single floating shelf which opened up the area. Keeping the same quartz as the kitchen for these countertops and backsplash brings a cohesive look to this main level refresh.
